Description
In Spanish, Las Perlitas means “Little Pearls.” The name represents small, high-quality lots from Colombian smallholders that are often too tiny to export on their own, despite frequently scoring higher than larger harvests. Our importing partner selects these lots based strictly on quality—purchasing only those scoring 86+ points—and combines them into a single, exceptional export lot.
This washed coffee is a blend of small Pink Bourbon lots from the Huila region. The contributing farms are situated at high elevations between 1,900 and 2,300 MASL, providing the ideal climate for complex flavor development. This lot is made possible by the dedication of producers like Deiro Gasca, Lizardo Imbachi, Erik Bravo, and Delfin Carvajal, who have produced some of our favorite coffees in the past.
Since these lots are grouped from various producers, exact processing methods vary slightly by farm. While all are processed as traditional Washed coffees, many farmers utilize extended fermentation times—typically ranging from 24 to 72 hours—before the coffee is washed and dried.
We found this cup to be exceptionally vibrant, full of bright fruit and subtle florals. While the profile is fruit-forward, it remains highly approachable and balanced, rounding out with a sweet, clean finish. This is our ideal everyday drinker.
